The Purple Princess (AYSO)

Teaghan has started playing AYSO soccer. Anne is one of the coaches. This is pretty darn fun to watch. The team name is 'The Purple Princesses'. Here are some pics with some video down at the bottom.

One of the 'Purple Princesses' gets ready for action, but forgets the first rule of Soccer, NO HANDS!

Action shot #1.

Action Shot #2

Teaghan and Coach Anne head over for a water break.

Even Baby made it out to watch. If this thing ever gets lost, Maeve will destroy the universe faster than the Large Hadron Collider.

Maeve loves to come out and watch her big sis.

Footage of the 'Purple Princesses' in action.

Tumbawing

Aside from Baby, princesses and Dora, Maeve's favorite thing in the world is tumbling (or as she calls it, "tumbawing"). She talks about it all week. Here's some footage of her in action.

Mas Fotografias

Los Lynches get around, or so 'they' say.

We popped in at the Rosas' house for a KFC BBQ feast (don't ask about the snacker/popcorn chick incident). Here we see Anne, Anya, Alex and Jackson. Alliteration is overrated anyways.

"Are you looking at me?" "No, you're looking at me. "

Ben is searching for the missing snacker.

Is that a guilty look on Jeff's face? Are those snacker crumbs on his shirt?

Chris supervises as the Girls do their thing in the backyard.

I think Anya could have gotten the Giants 1 or 2 more victories this year. What say you?

Chris, Scott and Jeff took in day 3 of the Outland's Festival in San Francisco.

The day ended on an unbelievably sublime note as Wilco took the stage while the sun set.

Scott joined the Silver Spring company band which is known as 'The Grid' and rocked the house with his co-workers.

Grandma Joanie sat down with her youngest Granddaughter in an effort to get a new Facebook profile picture. Success!

Meanwhile Papa Jack prepared his world famous 'Jack Burgers'. As always, they were ground beefalicious.

Later on, Papa Jack and Grandma Joanie taught Teaghan and Maeve how to jump rope.

Maeve catches massive air as she attempts to clear the rope.

Little Anya continues to develop way too fast. She's already pulling herself up. She's a good two months ahead of her sisters.

And don't think she doesn't know it.

"Hey, seriously, I'm not taking questions today. "

"Hey, what's up?"

We still haven't quite figured out how to get all three girls to look at the camera at the same time. And trust me, this is the best of 10 shots. I think they do it on purpose.

Pics, Pics and more Pics (and a few more)

You might have guessed that this posting is comprised of a number of pictures.

Anya isn't merely a firefighter, she's also the fire truck. In this action shot, she safely escorts her biggest sister away from harm.

Teaghan was a bit excited about her new AYSO soccer uniform.

Auntie Annie elicits an all time great smiley face out of baby Anya.

Daddy and his girls on his birthday. Don't they look so thrilled for him?

Anne and her beautiful niece, Gracie.

Maeve, the Princess (with party hat, because even a Princess likes to party)

I believe the children are the future.

Baby Anya, beret style.

Ok, we can all go to the pool if you just take one picture together. Wow, that was easy. Let's get wet!

Nora Jane will smile, but not while she's eating ice cream. FYI and all.

Christina holds court with the class of 2022? Ok, that's just scary.

That's a happy Teaghan if I've ever seen one.

Normally, Anya doesn't like lying on her back. For whatever reason, she was cool with it just this once. Maybe it was the turtle pillow?

Carnage

A few weeks ago, Rock and Roll super group 'Carnage' made an appearance in Redwood City. This marked the 20th anniversary of the first meeting of the band members in Santa Barbara, CA back in 1988. However, the band itself wasn't formed until 1989.

Huge Carnage fans Anna and Richard show off their homemade t-shirts. They've been credited with revitalizing the band over the last couple of years. They would both later join the band as special guests.

Believe it or not, Carnage actually had an opening act this year. In their first performance ever, 'The Woodland Critters' warmed up the crowd with a strong set.

Speaking of crowd... That's unofficially the biggest audience in the history of Carnage (at least in terms of the number of people who chose to remain in earshot of the band).

Though the focus was on the music, this is an election year, and word had to go out...

The band was in solid form this year, and received at least one or two compliments from non-spouses / sober people.

Richard joined the band for a fantastic version of 'Low Budget' and jumped in to help with the chorus to 'Rockin' in the Free World'.

The band after the show. Chris, Scott, Dave and Jeff. Tested, vetted and ready for action.

Possible album cover.

The band and special guests.

The day after. The band and the crowd are gone. Memories and hang overs remain.

Here's the band performing the first song of their set, 'Hey Joe'.
