The Weekend Before Thanksgiving

We had a busy weekend before Thanksgiving. First, we attended our neighbor Cara's Bat Mitzvah. The kids had a great time watching Cara and her family celebrate her big day.

Cara Jack and family.

Although Teaghan did think it was a little LOUD.

The next day, Anne threw a brunch for her girlfriends. Annie Wen gave everyone an extra reason to celebrate by announcing her engagement to her longtime boyfriend, Greg (as seen in this post).

The brunchers.

Later that day, Teaghan, Maeve and Scott celebrated their friend Taiyo's first birthday.

Taiyo. One year old. You can learn more about Taiyo here.

Let's Party!

Daddy, this is how big I want my piece of cake to be. Got it!?

Grandma Bernie

We popped in on the Lavelle Grandparents this week. We were able to get a couple of pics with Grandma Bernie before heading home.

Grandma Bernie sure does love me. And I love her.

4 tired womeneen.

We popped in on our good friends the Rosas to celebrate the 1st birthday of their daughter Mia. They're having a party for her on Saturday that we won't be able to make, so we celebrated on Thursday.

The Birthday Girl. Mia. One Year Old.

They rented a popcorn machine for the party. Oh my God. This stuff is better/worse than crack.

Mia, Maeve, Teaghan and Ben consumed obscene amounts of popcorn, voted their parents off the island and formed their own kingdom.

The Rosas. Happy Birthday Mia!!!!!

Grace turns 2

In a followup to this post, here are some pics from our camera from our Niece and Cousin Grace's 2nd Birthday Party.

You know what I'd like for my birthday? I'd like the cameras to get put away so I can eat my cake. You think that would be ok??

Seriously, enough with the cameras!

Ok, here's your smile. Now step away from the cake.

Yes, we like the cake. More please.

Nora Jane and Grandma Amanda

* Remember, more pics from the party can be found in Tim's flickr album here.

Annie and Greg

Our good friends Annie and Greg came over last weekend to join us in getting our hearts broken once again by the Cal football team.

Greg, Annie and Anne pretend to be happy little creatures after Cal's crushing defeat at the hands of USC. It's a sad state of affairs in the Bay Area for college and pro football these days.

Appa and Ollie seems mostly unfazed by the tragic outcome of the game.

Oh No, I spoke too fast! Nate Longshore has stoked their primal rage into a match to the soggiest in a frenzy of slobber and fur!

After the canine carnage, Auntie Annie helps clean up the victims of the collateral slobber damage.

Our friend Tim took some amazing pictures at Gracie's 2nd birthday party over the weekend. Here are a couple of shots of Maeve:

Thanks Tim, you rock!

On a steel horse I ride...

Anne and Kathy's first concert was Bon Jovi at the Shoreline Amphitheater back in the late 80's. Guess who they got tickets to go see....?

Here's a hint.

"We've got to hold on to what we've got
cause it doesn't make a difference
If we make it or not
We've got each other and that's a lot
For love - we'll give it a shot"

Fall is finally here

It takes its time, but Fall eventually makes its way to Northern California.

This past weekend, we spent time with the Lynch grandparents.

Teaghan and Papa Jack go on a hike in the backyard.

Maeve and Grandma Joanie amongst the leaves

We also celebrated Auntie Nora's '19th' birthday. Above: Nora and Dan (the host and Nora's boyfriend) at the party.
