Thanksgiving Weekend

Los Lynches were spared any long distance travel over the long weekend, and they were thankful for that fact, and other stuff too. However, they did make four trips down to the South Bay over the weekend.

Things started off on Wednesday with the Willow Glen High School Alumni Basketball game. In this action shot, Anne drives to the lane, completely oblivious to the wide open Nora Kiewlich (her sister) who stands wide open in the lane. I think the bottom of the backboard took a pounding on the ensuing layup try...

After the game, Anne sweatily posed with her old high school chums: Anne, Camila, Kari, Nicole, Paola and Laura (RAMS IN THE FRONT)

The next day, Los Lynches participated in the Applied Materials Silicon Valley Turkey Trot. In the first race, Anne pushed Anya in the single stroller, while Scott pushed Teaghan and Maeve in the double stroller.

Later, Maeve and Teaghan had their own individual races to run. In this action shot, if you look closely, you can see Teaghan heading for the finish line.

Los Lynches, post race(s).

After the races, Los Lynches travelled to Saratoga to have Thanksgiving Dinner with Great Grandma Joanna.

Anya enjoyed her first turkey and mashed potatoes bowl

After dinner, we retired to the garage to burn off calories. In yet another action shot, Teaghan attempts to kick a goal past her super reflexed mommy with limited success.

Anya and Great Grandma kept a close on the action from different vantage points.

While daddy busted out the 1995 video camera to capture the action.

Later still, Spider-Man battled Lamb-Girl. It was a draw.

Finally, it was bathtime. Anya is starting to get the hang of it, and was held steady by Great Grandma.

The obligatory group shot, this time with crazy angle.

Before heading out, Maeve and Teaghan got some quality time in with the toy carousel.

Mommy and Anya pose for the camera.

Then Daddy jumps in.

And then Great Grandma and Anya Great Grandma got in on the action.

Great Grandma was kind enough to keep an eye on the bigger kids as Mommy, Daddy and Anya headed to downtown Saratoga for the annual tree lighting and open house festivities.

Filling in the Gaps

Time is flying but the blog must be updated! Here is the first stab at back filling the month of Oct and most of November. Yikes, Thanksgiving is in 4 days!!!!! Aagasdgaglkjsadgd

First off, gigs were played:

The Rogues rocked the Brit in Cupertino/San Jose early in October.

Anne and Papa Jack soaked in the music with the help of fried food and Guinness.

Marisa, Tami, Chris and Camila showed their support

One of the littlest fans (Nora Jane) proudly watched her Daddy pound away on the drums.

Literally a handful of hours later, Anne and Scott were up at the crack of dawn for the Rock 'n' Roll Half Marathon in San Jose.

Halloween Contd.

Here are some more shots from Halloween 2008.

There was a Halloween Costume parade at Teaghan's, err, I mean Anakin Luke Teaghan's school...

Maeverbell even got to march with the big kids. She might have a 'been there, done that' look on her face, but she was thrilled to be there.

Meanwhile, Papa was dealing with bigger issues at work.

Anya Bear.

Pre-sugar high.

Queen Annie-dala in action.

Anya Bear really wanted to hibernate.

Auntie Stef displays her magic touch with Anya Bear.

And they're off!

Action shot.

Auntie Stef, Anya Bear and Uncle Colum.

After the Trick or Treating, Anya Bear was really ready to transition back to Baby Anya.

An abundance of candy.

In progress.

The End.

Chicago / Stef and Colum's Wedding

Towards the end of September, Los Lynches packed up their bags and headed East to Chicago for Colum and Stef's wedding.

Somehow, everybody survived the flight. It was actually harder getting on and off the plane, than it was being on the plane...

Once we arrived, it was relative-central. You couldn't turn without bumping into a Lavelle or Barnicle or some other relation. Here Teaghan and Michael discuss Ohio State's 2008/2009 Bowl game prospects.

Meanwhile, Anya was passed around and around. She finally ended up with Aunt Sandy who was kind enough to feed her dinner. Anya was very pleased.

Not too far away, Maeve and Gracie worked on their tackling skills in anticipation of that weekend's Bears/Eagles matchup.

The day of the wedding, Teaghan and Maeve sure did clean up nicely.

The Lavelle brothers just before the ceremony.

If you haven't seen Maeve dance, then you need to, because words can't describe the passion and energy that take over her little body as she proceeds to OWN the dance floor.

The bride cuts the rug.

I'm pretty sure they're singing Jessie's Girl.

Our hotel was only a couple of blocks from the river. Just horribly ugly, no?

The day after the wedding, Uncle Colum and little Maeve were beat.

Just before we headed to the airport, Teaghan showed off her Mickey Mouse shirt.

Mommy and Daddy took a quick self portrait in front of Trump's latest behemoth.

Can you spot the baby?
